Do you have to remove the rear window (70 Cuda) to install the clips for the molding?

Yes. They are held in with philips head screws, no way to get to them with the glass in place.

So, remove the window, put the screws in, install the window, pu the clips on, install the molding??? Now, if I can just figure out how to get the window out without breaking it.... or should I just leave this one to the professionals........

Utility knife and several new blades should do the trick. Oh, and a lot of patience.
I do not recommend using the wire method.

I have restored MANY cars and do EVERY SINGLE bit of them myself, with the notable exceptions of engine machine work and removal/installation glass!! Too easy to break a slab of glass either taking it out or installing. As well, they use a hot knife to cut the butyl sealer...way easier than a knife or cold cutter.

You have to install the clips with the screws.

that'll certainly work - but one chip or crack does a replacement make! no problem if you're replacing anyways, but i find it less expensive in the long run to have the pro's remove and replace, plus they gaurantee against leaks, have the right screws/clips and rarely bend the trim getting it back on!
