Fip top Gas Cap
« on: December 13, 2006 - 08:15:37 AM »
OK so WIW, Genuine Flip top Gas Cap I purchased from the dealership around '78. Was mounted briefly but has never seen any use. NOT perfect, chrome has very minor scratches and some rub marks that may polish out and tiny speckles that look like dust. Paint has some chips. Seal is repop. Top has # 3466435 82779A & XO-1949 base # XO-2030.  Being an original I'm thinking it would be a lot more valuable to a genuine T/A owner than to me.

I still see quite a few NOS ones popping up around eBay and they're going for $195.00.  I'd say with a little wear, $165-170 wouldn't be too bad for a fair deal.

Holy old threads Batman!   :poopoke:   :poopoke:   :poopoke:

In all honesty, I bought a repro for less than $200...Can't remember an exact price since it was so long ago.   :banghead:  I had no problems with it fitting or looking good. I suppose there are guys out there that have to have NOS or nothing, so I wish you luck in your sale Wade. You might want to mention it's made for a Hemi Challenger.
