  My '70 Challenger doesn't have one, if it did I would keep it. Several cars down here in Australia have them fitted and they make a slight difference.
  Maybe Chryco will chime in, he and Moparal are the experts.

I have generally left them off but I never run automatics anyway

I had one when I was running an auto. With or without it, I couldn't tell the difference so I threw it away. Like Aussie, I figured it was for vibration dampening.
