Chrome Radiator Hoses
« on: March 26, 2010 - 10:09:32 AM »
Has anyone used the Spectre brand corrugated/chrome radiator hose with the chrome end fittings/clamps?  I'd like to install one to dress up the engine compartment but they are smaller in diameter than my current hose.  I have a 440 that already runs a little warm.  Would a smaller diameter hose make this even worse?

i used cool tubes the same as what you are talking about, they offer more surface area,so a little more cooling,i drive my car alot in 90 degree plus heat.

but the way they hook up to the radiator, water pump, is with rubber hose, and after some time mine began to leak,

and also if you happen to touch one of them when they are hot they will scald the hell out you :swear: :22yikes: and i really dont think they kept the car any cooler, they seemed to radiate more heat under the hood :2cents:
