As you mentioned it could be a head gasket, cracked head or a cracked cylinder wall. I had a truck once that had a crack cylinder wall and there was oil in the coolant and not vise versa. The truck also seemed to run fine too. I did notice that the coolant system was getting over pressurized and would blow coolant out the cap. This could be a hard problem to find until it gets worse. Good luck!

Thanks Dave . My plan is to drain and flush then put a ceramic coating in the rad . Then drain and refill . I have heard great stories about this ceramic coating . Bad thing is seeing how the preasure is blowing into the cooling system instead of out , plus even after flushing I know oil will still be there . But hey it's worth a 40 or 50 dollar try compared to maybe thousands .

Maybe good news . I just left my buddy at the local auto parts . He does not think I have oil in the water .Reason being the oil would have to be under more presure than the water .The only places that happens is away from coolant areas ,bearings push rods and such . Once the oil reaches the top of the heads it free flows back to the oil pan . that is when the 2 would come in contact at which time the water would be under more presure thus putting water in the oil . Not the case . He said flush the system then see if it happens again , the anti freeze hasn't been touched in 110 thousand miles and could just be really crappy .

If it gets more oil in it he would bet it is most likely trans fulid . He hears of the radiator leaking trans fluid into the anti freeze a lot . New radiator is about $150.00 so my fingers are crossed . I have to wait for the rain to stop before doing anything . Although I have a 3 car garage I do not have a dry place to work on it if it is raining out . Too much junk or I mean collectibles .  :dunno:
