quarter window seal replacement question
« on: November 30, 2009 - 01:18:38 PM »
Hi!
I'm replacing the quarter window seals on my 70 Challenger. My question is do I glue them in with something? I used a small screw driver and carefully pushed the seal in position and it looks great but the 2 little tabs on the stainless that hold the seal at the bottom broke off when I tried to bend them straight? ::) Should I glue just that part? Or just cut it off?
I just did the driver side with the window out. Has anyone replaced these seals with the window in? I might as well do the passenger side too.

You can do them in the car, trim adhesive will hold them in if your scrrew tab is gone but I'd do more than just the bottom with it.

I hope your repops are better than the Metro ones I tried, they were so far off of original looking and fit so bad I put my originals back in and tossed them.
