Wheel bearings made in china
« on: December 02, 2009 - 09:37:46 AM »
I'm looking for front wheel bearings.  All the local parts houses sell 'National' brand bearings under the Moog name, but all the bearings say made in China.  Are these ok to use?  I found one bearing at Carquest that said made in USA.
When I rebuilt the rear axle gears I was able to buy made in USA bearings, so I thought it would be easy to find the same for the front wheels, but I'm not having any luck.  Any suggestions??

I've had the same trouble's, ended up using the made in China bearings on 2 or 3 vehicles without any trouble.

years. -BOWER bca  was the last American made wheel bearing. They have been -outsourcing for 7-8 years now. They are still a good bearing though.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Try Timkin. Autozone sells them. Most of their stuff is still made in the USA.
