« on: September 06, 2004 - 08:56:16 PM »
i got to sanding and what not on my car...and found out that on the drivers side 40% of it was bondo....so i got it pretty well striped and decided to see what the passengerside looked like well it was about 90% bondo...so now i'm thinking i'm just goin to replace them but was wondering if someone that hasn't done anybody work before could tackle the job....or dont' even bother and let someone else do it...also this is on a 74 duster..

77 Dodge D150 shortbox- as long as i don't change my mind will be a step side dually diesel or a 383 powered truck

go to www.autobodyspecialt.com and the have replacement panels..full / quarter whatever you need........good prices too..........my challenger is going in the body shop over the winter and they want alot more to do full quarters......
i would say just buy the replacement panels you need..ALL cars have some putty in them but I like duraglass myself...:0).....but if you got the cash go full skins.......

Doing the skins is not trivial and definately requires skill to pull it off nicely. You MAY be able to find complete nice quarters from a donor car. That route may actually be easier than welding in the skins. It's definately the route I would be taken if full  quarters were available for the Ebody cars (yes, I got tired of waiting for Goodmark's full quarters).
