Coil over conversion
« on: August 30, 2004 - 11:18:19 AM »
Has anyone done a conversion to coilovers on the front of their E-body? I was looking into it because I have some work planned for the cuda this winter and was thinking of removing the torsion bars and going to a coilover front end. I saw the one from Magnumforce but they are kind of pricey :o If anyone out there has done this swap let me know. ;D

The only thing I have learned in my research is that the coil over conversion from Magnumforce will put stress on your inner fenders.  They weren't originally designed for it.  Because of that and the fact I didn't want to do any elaborate fabrication, I decided to stay away from them. :(

I agree
the Alter-K-tion is the best conversion for coilover susp .
why you would want to go away from T bars baffles me though

The T-bar suspension is great, i just thought maybe I could get more adjustability with the coil over but what you said about the inner fenderwells not taking the stress is very true. Just asking the question ;D. Thanks
