    Ok, for giggles, what would everyone thing our 70 chally vert is worth?  Ya know, the one that I posted about 50 pics or so on the thread ....

    A little bit about the car, concours restored, #s matching engine block, trans, and have broadcast sheet.  Car is restored to original colors with the exception of the top.  The original top was black and since the car does not have a/c mom wanted a white top to keep it cooler for her since she is the one who drives it.  Being that the engine was built up to 340 specs before we got the car, we decided to replace all of the aftermarket stuff with factory correct items.  Luckily enough, when we got the car, the previous owner gave us all of the original 318 2 bbl parts, such as intake, exhaust manifolds, carb, etc.

    So far, the car has won numerous high profile awards with another nomination still pending on the outcome.

    Hmm...this is a toughie.

    Definitely a cool car with a lot of time and $$$  invested.

    Just guessing w/this market right now, but I'd say...~$48k?  B/c it's not an R/T or A66 car (340 package), it definitely is not as desirable to collectors.  BUt it is desirable in so many ways barring the awesome restoration.  The color combo is cool for sure and has some nice options.

    Hard to say, you would think more then that considering those pictures show amazing attention to detail, but like posted above its not an RT or A66 car, that will hurt the value to an investor....but not all buyers are investors so to the right person i'm sure you could fetch more.   :dunno:

    Investor types will want pre-restoration photos showing all the original details.

    If anything was added that was not there originally, then it becomes a custom vs. a true restoration & your price drops accordingly.

    Good point.  Pre-restoration photos are always important.  Shows what you changed (quarters?  trunk pan?) as far as rust/collision repair.

    Looks like what got added was the induction system (2bbl to 4bbl), exhaust (single to dual) and rear valance, so it's definitely custom.  I would have just added an R/T hood if you went that far already w/non-stock.

    Bored with it which is why you're considering dumpin' the car?

    We are not considering getting rid of the car in any way.  We just got the car last year and highly doubt we will get rid of it anytime soon.  I was just curious what everyones input was as to what it might be worth.  As far as the R/T hood, we have one, a correct 1970 year hood, that is being restored right now.  I wouldn't necessarily call the car custom as everthing that we put onto the car is a year correct and optional part and bolt on.  The intake system, exhaust system, hood, and rear valence can all be changed back with little effort.  If someone were to indeed buy our car, all of the original stuff would go with the car like it did when we purchased it.  We also got all of the restoration photos from the previous owner showing that he replaced the quarter panels and had the car on a rotisserie although he "over restored it" by painting the entire undercarriage white which we corrected back to factory stock.
