My Challenger squeaks a lot
« on: January 17, 2010 - 12:38:39 PM »
When I roll over a speed bump, my Challenger makes a lot of squeaks and sundry noises. Have any of you guys found any sources of noise in you cars and quieted it down? Front suspension is all new and lubed.

My subframe connecters took away alot of the "haunted house" sounds.  :grinyes:

Good suggestion about the connectors. I may try that. Ive got moog bushings all around and lubed and mine makes LOTS of noises too. The headers also constantly rattle. Solving rattles and squeeks is a never ending pursuit.

Some shock absorbers squeak in operation, and you could check the bottom shock bushings too (I don't know if the top bushings move in a fashion that can make noise).

You mentioned your front end was new? I have read on here about members saying poly urethane bushings squeek? :dunno:

I too have heard that the poly bushings, or solid bushings, squeak a lot.

Shoot some WD-40 in the shocks.I had the same issues with my cuda with all new everything up front.I sprayed some white grease on all the joints. The squeaks went away after awhile.
