Deck lid alignment
« on: December 21, 2009 - 07:56:58 PM »
I need to have my deck lid move to one side a bit, how do you move it? do you put washers on the pivoting bolt on one or the other side? :clueless:

Believe or not, most body guys will just raise the lid and give it a good push towards the side they want it to move. Basically tweaking the hinges slightly. We did it to my car and the lid lines up great.

Loosen the top bolt on one side and the bottom bolt on the other side. Move the deck lid over just a bit and tighten them up. Close the deck lid slowly just in case you moved it too far so you don't rub the deck lid on the edge of the quarter panel.
