Heater Control Cable Lubrication

Hey guys,
I didn't see anything when I did a search, so I'm looking for the best method to lubricate a used heater control cable before installing it. Thanks everyone.

Anti seeze compound is what I would use. Normally used for caliper rubbing areas or threads on the drum adjusters. There might be other things but that should work well.
