This may be a different manufacturer but most orginal batteries only last about 2 years & are very expensive

I've had one that I purchased from these folks   http://www.antiqueautobattery.com/  for about 3 years with no problems.   I store it in the winter with a tender.....

Good luck on your decision.....

My last one came from here and lasted 4 years with a tender. I thought it would last longer but I was wrong.

I got about 4 years out of mine before it died.  this was the old design that you had to fill with acid after purchasing.  The link you posted is the newer design sealed, glasss mat, fully charged, and ready to use.  I hear they last much longer.

we carry the batteries from axion/turbo start, they are good looking but will need to keep a tender on them, they are sealed batteries in the old looking case, they have a 4 year proratable warrenty from them. we have the red, green and yellows in stock. in the listings are the specs/applications on the batteries if your looking for that as well.

Are the new resto batterys still made at the old New Castle battery plant? Years ago  I used to get them there. New Castle is about 35 miles from me.

That is correct that these new batteries are Absorbed Glass Mat type.  Wonder if anyone purchased this new battery replacing the old "wet cell" type where you had to add water.  They say they are better then the former, but it is unknown where they are made.  I contacted 2 vendors of these batteries and they said the "Battery Tender" is a good charger for the AGM battery.
Here is a small article about AGM: http://www.dcbattery.com/agmtech.html   Just Google it and you will find more info.

Mopardave, nice to know you carry these batteries.  Is it listed anywhere on the packaging or battery the origin of the manufacturer?  Thanks.....Happy New Year.
