Turbo rebuild
« on: January 02, 2010 - 09:15:11 PM »
I know its not a typical question as far as e-bodies go.But I sure would like some opinions on this?I want to have the turbo rebuilt in my Daytona Iroc R/T and I figure with the Mopar people here I could get some Idea of who they would send it to?who is reputable,I might want to modify it a little bit also
Thanks Doug

try to find someone locally if you can,  whats wrong with yours?  seals blown out ? shaft play?  is the housing cracked?  it maybe easier for you to just get a new one or upgrade yours turbos are pretty cheap

Seal let go
I could probably do a rebuild kit myself, but would prefer a person who knows them well to rebuild and test it.

I'm not sure if he would rebuild it, but Markoverclock from 3SI.org is well-known and trusted for rebuilding/modifying Mitsubishi turbochargers.  I don't know any other way to contact him other than through 3SI (his e-mail address isn't shown), but I know his services are well-trusted in the 3/S community.  If you are already a member over there, then check out his profile & drop him an e-mail...Here is a link to his profile there: http://www.3si.org/forum/members/27279.html
