Sun Visor Differences?
« on: January 04, 2010 - 03:45:18 PM »
Hi,
Chryslers at Carlisle is a long way off. So, I thought I'd ask this because mine are missing. I am looking for sun visors for a 1970 Barracuda convertible and a 1971 Barracuda hardtop. Are they different from 'vert to hardtop? From year to year? Pictures showing any differecnces would be great, too.
Thanks,
Paul

the convertable visors are much smaller , there also seems to be a different shape used in the hardtops depending on the year as well

Are the visors supoosed to have tips on the free end of them to secure them to the rear view mirror base?

Mine dont but my mirror, and the one I bought to replace it, has slots for tips for visors....or do I just have the wrong mirror base?

70 and I believe 71 visors had tips that slid into the rear view mirror base. 72-74 visors had no tip.
