This is where I bought my Proform 850 for my 440. You have to decide if you want to go with or without a choke. I went with the electric choke. There are also carbs with a vacuum secondary, but that isn't what is recommended for a 4-speed car.

Thanks Mek-Dangerfield!

I also took a look at my manifold and it says "360 Offenhauser" on it.  I haven't figured out which exact model yet, so I'll have to take a closer look at it tomorrow morning in the light.

Again, I'm a novice at this so, I'm not sure if this is a good manifold or not for a more upgraded carb like the Proform.

the offy 360 is a very unusual intake , they work OK but have a dual port system inside them , the Holley Street Dom would probably make more power , no harm in trying it with what you have though

Yes, this car is full of surprises the more I dig into it.  I've had it now for 2 months and I find that it's not quite what I would have done in a few areas.  I am now thinking about were replacing the carb and intake manifold, and I'm piecing together that the  Holley Street Dominator and Proform 850 is a good combo for a more muscular 440.  Is that a fair restatement?

"360 Offenhauser" on it.

My son had the same manifold on his 440 Charger. Pulled real good but wnet flat at 5000. Changed to a Holley street Dom and pulled just as hard to 5500 and gained another 5MPH at the same reference mark on the highway.
