Rear wheel wells for 1970's Challenger
« on: December 30, 2009 - 10:26:51 PM »
Hi everybody. We are looking for over sized rear wheel wells for our 1973 Challenger. Someone told us that there are ones out there that are 1 to 1 1/2" wider than the stock ones. Any ideas as to where we can look? Web-site or phone number? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and to all a Happy Healthy New Year.

You can check out Chrysler wheel reproductions of various sizes at http://www.wheelvintiques.com.

You can also purchase various Wheel Vintique rims at 15x7", 15x8" and 15x10" sizes at http://www.summitracing.com.

What I have done in the past is carefully cut out the inner wheel house & moved it over to the frame rail & filled in the gap with a flat piece of steel , with a but of under coat it will virtually disappear assuming you are talking about widening the tub

Check with Challenger500 who posted on another thread here.  His tires look big enough to me.

We put a 15X11 rim under our challenger using a B-Body Rear End and 1" offset spring hangers.
