What are the holes below the license plate for and what is the correct type of hardware that goes in them?I had a couple carraige bolts there just to fill the holes but I`d like to know what is correct.

My 70 doesnt have those holes. Dont know what they're for.

Is it possible a previous owner did some "customizing"?

I took another look at them and I can`t tell for sure but I`m thinking they were drilled by someone.I guess I thought they were supposed to be there so I never welded them up.Oh wel,l I`ll just paint the carriage bolt heads black and they`ll barely be noticable.

I had a car that had the airshock nipple there but there was only one

maybe some kind of bike rack or trailer accessory part went there?
