70 challenger trunk gutters
« on: December 28, 2009 - 11:57:06 AM »
anybody have a pic of the gutter at the bottom of the rear window?  My car (70 challenger)has a bend in the gutter at the center below the rear windshield.  I don't think it is suppose to be there but like I said it is in the center and makes me wonder.  Thanks, Danny

I have the same bend on my 74. I would have thought someone had shut the trunk on something, but it is exactly in the center of the rear window.

I tried to load one, but kept getting an error when I tried to load it. I'll try again.

You might have to host it externally at a site like Photobucket. Sometimes we get full of pics 'round here.

that looks exactly like mine.  I don't understand any reason for it being there except an accidental bend.  It also looks like it would fill the trunk with water.  Danny

Not sure what to make of it. Both of ours are right in the middle. The question is, was it bent when they put it on at the factory or did someone shut the trunk with something on the gutter. What are the odds that it was right in the center on both of our cars.

Odds are funny things.  I know where two identical 1970 Dusters sit side by side in a junk yard and there is one serial number between them.  Odds?????

That CB antena sounds like the best explanation to me.  Would be why it is in the center.  I have seen cars back in the day liike that.  I go with that.

I agree! The bend is too perfect. Mystery solved.
