    What size are the K member bolts?

    What length and size are the mounting bolts for an E body k member? Thanks in advance!

    Bolt head measured across: 1 1/16"
    Across: with washer width incl: 1.28"
    bolt head height by itself: .41"
    Thread length: 1.85"
    thread type: 5/8-11"
    qty: 4

    If you need them I would buy the correct ones needed. These bolts have a unique shoulder area on them.

    I think Mega parts sells new ones. Somebody here might have some. I thought I had a spare set but I can't recall now if I do or not.

    Thanks guys. So the k member is nothing I could use standard grade 5's on? I will not mess with safety so if I need the right ones I will get them. What grade are the factory ones? They are black but are they grade 8?

    K bolts have a shoulder before the head that when tightened uniformly will draw the K into alignment with the frame.  I would recommend the originals. :2cents:

    I agree , use the original bolts , they have a shoulder to locate the Kframe & keep it aligned
