I did not either, but I have an older catalog and I have not had a chance to surf their website yet. You would not think it would be hard to find a 3/8-16 press-in stud. But, apparently it is. Hmm......

The backing plate studs are 24 UNF.  I looked for hours on the web and found nothing in either UNF or UNC.  These might be special made by some bolt company.

Matt
It looks like it is/was specially made. Obviously they are made becuase there are new brackets with studs at Mancini, Year One, etc. I even looked at 1/2" studs and did not get a lot of hits. It seems like everything was either less than a 1/4" or bigger than 5/8". Oh well. Thanks for looking. I will get the studs from Rusty CUDA for now. Then, if I really want to change, I can go with the adjustable Mancini ones. Thanks for all the help.

I have just used Grade 8 Bolts in the past , if you want to get anal you could grind down the head into a  dome shape & or tack weld them into place

That thought had crossed my mind. It just seems like I should be able to pick up the correct studs, or close to the correct studs for a decent price and be done with it. For whatever reason, that does not seem to be an option. For now, I am just using grade 8 bolts and leaving it at that. It is not ready to go anywhere as I am still stripping the body down do repaint it.

Thanks all for the input.

Studs were mailed out today, you should get them in a few days if our post office doesn't go bankrupt like everything else!  Rich.

Hmmm, I'm suprised Mac-Carr doesn't have them. They have practically everything. Bummer.

HP2, yeah it is shocking they don't. For whatever reason it is some sort of odd-ball size I guess.
