What is the name of this harness

Does anyone know what this harness is called? It looks like my coil goes into that big plug. It's a big mess so I wanted to see if it can be replaced. My car will be running just fine and when you mess with that big plug it dies and doesn't want to start. Any help on the name of this harness would be grateful. I have a small block 340. It may be this one but I am not sure.

You have it right...That is called the engine wiring harness. Your wires could be brittle with age, and also the contacts where that big connector meets the firewall connector could be dirty or corroded.

Thanks Mek. The harness looks to be original and I am sure that's the problem it's just corroded inside.
