Overhead Console Wiring Harness
« on: February 13, 2010 - 03:13:18 PM »
i'm posting some pic's of my wiring harness to help me figure out what goes where.  (i didn't do the disassembly   :faint: )

First one up - the lights for "Door Ajar" - "Low Fuel" - "Fasten Seatbelts"

What color wire is for the above:
The wire on the left is red, the next is blue, then yellow, and finally grey (ground)

John,

Thanks!!!  Here is a pic of my complete harness.  The colors look like they match the diagram, and all the connectors are accounted for.

Has anyone ever found any door ajar switches that will work?  I put an overhead console in my Challenger, which is not an SE, many years ago, and just tapped into the dome light at the time. I also tapped into the timed key light for the fasten seat belts light so it would go out after a few seconds. Of course I never go the low fuel light to work.

Almost any grounding door switch will work. Most auto adjust the first time you close on them. Look on ebay for door switches, alarm switches, etc. Since they go in on the latch side, being "ajar" is very easy to hit. Look at an SE for proper placement.
