I've seen some pretty cool '70 Challenger convertible diecasts, however I am pretty sure they were custom made very limited edition ones, and they weren't cheap (over $100).
The old saying about if you want something done, you have to do it yourself holds true, I built a 1:25 scale model of my Challenger convertible, and my model will probably be the only FK5 Challenger convertible with a flat hood scale replica ever made.

I highly recommend to you race fans to look up Billy Kid Stepp .
His Ohio gangster history is a great read ,most of his cars were ex sox cars .
Take note of the drivers that drove for Mr Stepp also .GB

Working close with the die cast manufacturers at time, I do have some insight on these. Several years ago Ertl did announce a 1972 Cuda to be made, but there were very few pre-orders (early orders/reservations) so they decided not to make them. Recently (last fall) they were brought up again. This time possibly by Die Cast Promotions / Highway 61, as they have almost (almost) ran out of 70-71 variations to make. These slightly newer cars are being considered for 2011. I'll keep you posted.

   '72 Challenger.....  :grinyes:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car
