Welders.....Just a warning.....
« on: March 08, 2010 - 12:01:52 PM »
Remember kids -
1. Never walk away from your car right after welding something on the interior (like...say...a  floor board)  :nono:

2. Never do this when your wife is already mad at you  :villagers:

3. Make sure the faucet end of your "emergency hose" is actually connected to the spicot prior to welding  :screwy:

signed... the guy who needs a new wiring harness and roses for the wife and can still Flintstone in his car....... :bricks1:

Things to mitigate your findings:

1.  I always wrap up the job by sittign with a cold beer and looking over my work.
2.  Wait until the wife goes to bed for doing hot work and enjoying subsequent cold beer.
3.  Well, not sure what to tell you there.  My cars are usually stripped to the bare shell before doing any weld work.  But thats because I have never bought a car that was mostly complete.

On the bright side, roses should be cheaper since Valentines day has passed.

Hope too much damage was not incurred.  Maybe you actually needed a new wire harness to start with?  Just trying to be positive and keep on the bright side.  You could always blame it on Gremlins...
