I visited Feeny Dodge in Elgin to look at, and most importantly sit in a 2009 Challenger when they were just arriving.  I'm pretty tall and can't comfortably  sit in or drive a _lot_ of cars these days (Durango/Dakota sized even; not enough headroom).  I can't even consider the new Challenger until I know if I fit.  I didn't want or ask for a test drive since it would have been 4-6 months before actually buying one (which info was not provided to the salesdrone).

It took 15 minutes to get the attention of one of a group of them yammering at each-other.  Bastards wanted a deposit, cash in hand, to even sit in one of the cars.  "So I have to put a deposit on it, promise to buy one, before I can even find out if I can _drive_ it?"  Yes, and they don't have any 2009s in yet, and the two 2008s are spoken for.  Right.  In the lot there were several 2009s, and another salesman showing a couple one of them.

So of course the good dealership got shut  down by obama's czar and this lovely example of quality and customer service was chosen to remain open.  But it will never have my business.

I've heard bad things about Feeny before, I don't know how some of these butt-hole dealers manage to stay in business?  :clueless:  At least that Viking place in Crystal Lake got the cut last spring, they had a horrendous reputation for years, yet until Chrysler pulled the plug on them they apparently sold enough cars to stay profitable?
Weird thing with Advantage is they still have $3000 "dealer adjustment" stickers next to the MSRP on some of the Challengers on their lot (and most of the Challengers on their lot have been there for many months not surprisingly), yet if you go to their website, most of the new Challengers I recognize from their lot are on there with internet pricing that looks really good, like 2k off MSRP?  What gives there?
As I said before, there are some good dealers around, like here in Chicago Fields and Dupage Chrysler I think it is called, in Wheaton, have had good reports from Challenger buyers.  I have no complaints whatsover about Boucher in Janesville where I bought mine and I've heard some good reports about a place in Indiana (Crown Point?) and about Roanoke which is near Peoria.  None of those places are all that far from Chicago if the local dealers aren't putting out the red carpet for you!

I was ignored at Sherman and I was kicked out of Advantage for not having cash in hand to buy a car right that minute.

So I went to fields, it was no problem.  Gave me all the discounts available and I got a really good deal.

Fields in Northfield?  That's where I bought my Ram.
