Removing hood hinge springs
« on: March 07, 2010 - 11:21:31 AM »
I have a lightweight TA hood for my Challenger.  I'm going to make a prop rod for it, but I was wondering, how do I remove the springs from the hood hinges.  Safely, too!

I have to move my car in the near future, so I have to put a hood back on it...

I had the hinges in a vise and pulled the spring with pliers.  tension is not too bad

Cut or break mixing sticks in 2" pieces and wedge them into the spring, they will come off with ease,
