well, I can see it's a 70 model made in hamtramik :2thumbs:

And it may have come from a 70 Hemi Challenger VIN JS27ROB224947.

But then it would have an 18 spline input shaft...... Just throwing stuff out there. 

Maybe Barry has someone in the registry looking for that trans.

cheers guys, would be awesome if it was an 18 spline out of a hemi challenger...

but it's got the small 4.35" bearing retainer.
i didn't bother to count the splines yet, as i figured it was definitely gonna be a 23 spline unit.

on a side note, i found a pile of chewed up roller bearings in the bottom of the case.
do you think the bearing surfaces on the shaft and gears will be damaged and they'll need replacing?
trying to get an idea of what i need to get shipped from the states so i can rebuild it.

It is from a Barracuda or Cuda for sure.

3050 - Final assembly date - Dec. 3, 1969 (1970 model year)

0337 - 337th transmission assembled on that date.

roller brgs are in the pinion & countershaft so the damage coukd include main shaft & input shaft  & or counter shaft pin & gear , there could be a lot of internal damge

yeah, i'm not looking forward to what i'll find when i pull it apart...
there is quite a bit of play to the input shaft, so i'm guessing the roller bearings are from there...  hopefully the damage is limited to that!

are the roller brgs needles or ball type , I can get brg kits dor the 833 no prob . hard parts like gears & shift levers are available through Passon
