Socketless hose

Has anyone used socketless hose with the fittings? I know they say they won't come apart, but does anyone add clamps anyway?

it stays together without clamps

I've used them on other applications.  Good stuff and fairly cheap.  They work just fine, adding clamps can actually damage the hose and cause leaks.
