Removing trunk torsion rod
« on: March 14, 2010 - 10:31:30 PM »
What's the best way to remove the trunk torsion rod?  Pry it off of one side?

Thanks,
Travis

Brace the lid with a stick.  Loop a rope (or cord) around the torsion bar on the driver's side and pull it out.  Screwdrivers will just scratch the paint.

Do not be in the trunk when doing this!  Still have nightmares... :swear:

Sounds like this is going to be fun.   :screwy:

The rod rubs on my roll bar, so I've got to take it out and replace it with a lift strut.
