Comp Cams XE274H in a 440
« on: March 16, 2010 - 09:11:15 PM »
Guys:
Does the Comp Cams XE274H produce enough vacum in a 440 for power brakes.
(Comp XE274H   274 / 286   230 / 236   .488 / .491    110   106   60   1800-6000)

The Comp tech I spoke to said that with its 60 deg overlap it should be ok, but....

Anyone have actual experience ????????  Power brakes and Comp XE274H ?

The tech also told me I could get a custom grind made.
Maybe the Comp XE274H with a 114 LSA ?????  Might be a good idea.

OR should I just stick with the Mopar 484 114 LSA cam ?

It's not that big, but I'm not sure if it will run brakes. I think it will depend on the pistons you have and the true compression ratio.
