AMD Challenger rockers. Another great part from AMD !
« on: March 18, 2010 - 01:49:05 AM »
I recently bought a right rocker for a Challenger I am restoring. The rocker was rusted away from the lead
joint back. It also was crunched in along it's length under
the door. and it had been patched over. All around a mess.
Today I cut off the rusty, bent original after thoroughly
bracing the door opening. I left the door on to check
fitment. After drilling out the spotwelds and removing
the old junk,I checked for burrs etc, then slid the new
AMD repro in place. Instant results! Great fit. Great gaps.
This is the second AMD rocker I have installed now. The first was a 68-70 B body rocker. Both were darn near perfect.
This in making my job SO much easier.
Don't be scared of Mopars with rusty rockers. It is a straight
forward part to change if you have the 1/4s off already, and what mopar doesn't need 1/4s?
Thanks AMD
