Nice dream...
« on: September 29, 2004 - 05:14:42 PM »
I found this while "surfing" the web.  Thought everyone on this site would like to know about one companies attempt to get DC to make a "retro" barracuda.  I have been reading this site for about a week and although I do not own a Mopar yet, I hope to in about a year.

If I posted this in the wrong forum I apologize.

My dream I think is like half the world of mopar fans.  I want to get a '70 or '71 Barracuda, but I'm going to do a restification and fix it up a bit.  Currently want to put a 5.7L Hemi in the car.

I'll probably buy a rolling chassis and fix it up over time.  I'm guessing about 5 years and I'll have one done, unless I win the lottery or inherit some money from a relative I don't know about.

Not sure if anyone has seen the new HOT ROD Magazine article about the new '69 crate camaro bodies (all steel).  There is talk of a '70 Cuda body being made in the future.  They're just going to be a bit pricey.
The bodies are being made by a company in NC called Classic Automotive Restoration Specialists (CARS).  www.classicautomotiverestoration.com in case you're interested.
