Retro in dash cd player ?
«

Does anyone make an inexpensive retro looking in dash cd player for a '73 'cuda ?
I'm not looking for a remake of an original, just something that looks a bit more in the style that what is generally out there.
Thanks !

Nothing out there that I've seen that comes close... Design is to new to fit the oldies style & all the single DIN products have that new flashy look.
Every once in a while I see some mostly black units on e-bay but they have few features compared to current offerings.
I think Nakamichi has the best looking aftermarket units out there.

Have my eye on this one - note it does not play CDs, only AM, FM and iPod.

I bought my in-dash radio from
http://www.retrosoundusa.com/
.
Their sound systems are designed to have a retro feel with modern sound technology (including MP3 player capabilities). Retrosound has specifically-designed packages to match many types of different cars. At the time I purchased, they didn't have any fascias designed specifically for Mopar, but the styling is still more retro and worked great for me. In fact, I bought a set of Mopar radio knobs for it. I haven't got to the point where I've installed the radio yet, so I don't have anything to share regarding fitment, but the way they designed the system (with adjustable arms) it should fit virtually any setup.
Check out their web site. They have information and videos that explain everything:
