Was informed today taht the arisen situation wasn't as dire as I was initially led to believe, so I don't have to sell!

May want to let people know where the car is located.

CA plate, but where in CA?

Currently with the person I bought it from in San Diego, but will soon be transported to Washington - exact location unknown at this moment.

Was informed today that my work situation wasn't as dire as I was initially led to believe.

I'm going to import the car and I've got enough time to try & sort something else out in the meantime, which should enable me to keep it.
