Got my first ticket with the new one
« on: April 18, 2010 - 12:08:51 AM »
I've been sure I'll eventually end up with a speeding ticket with the '09, it feels like it is loafing when doing 60 or 65.  I'll be driving along and glance at the speedometer and see that I'm going 20 mph faster than I thought I was doing!
So yesterday I am driving home at the end of rush hour, being careful to keep it at 60 because I see a cop car a few lanes over.  But he pulls me over anyway, for no front plate!
Must have been a slow day for him, our tax dollars at work!

I had a cool repro lighted Scat Pack sign hanging on my garage wall which fell off today and hit my convertible.  Thankfully the convertible was safe and snug under its car cover and appears unscathed.  The sign on the other hand, is damaged.  It's repairable but will never be the same.
Not a great week for me!  At any rate I am not eager to hang anything else on my garage wall right now!
I have to figure a way to wire the license plate holder to the lower grille, and then take a picture of it to take to court so I can get the charges dismissed.
Though one of my friends suggested I find someone with a Challenger with its factory license plate holder installed, put my plate on it, take a picture, and show it to the judge saying its my car!  :naughty:
I have planned to get one of nice cool billet "no holes in the bumper installation" license plate frames soon, but my semi unemployed status and the fact that I'm not driving that car all that often has put that plan fairly low on my priority list for now.

They are a must in ND. The city of Fargo will fine you $150 for the first time and it doubles if you get cought again. A guy that my wife works with found this out the hard way .
