  How about that Canadian dollar?? We are finally at par depending on the time of day. The money dudes are saying that the american and canadian dollar will be close for around the next two years or so.  :woo:This is good stuff should be able to do a trip south and maybe some new parts.

Good for you guys up north! Wait until Moodys reduces USA's bond rating- the exchange rate will tip even further in your favor.

Don't worry there has been talk for several years to amalgamate the Canadian, American & Mexican currency, first they have to get the relevant currencies at similar levels, 2 out of 3 is a start.

It won't be long before most any currency will be on par or stronger than the US Dollar.

Great exchange rate everywhere but at the banks!! still works out to be around 5-6%.

so canada is still poor and americans are now poorer?   evrything is expensive ther compared to here in many places

Back in the '60's our     dollar would buy US$1.20, then the bankers persuaded our politicians to float our dollar and despite our countries national wealth the bankers forced our dollar down to US$0.50 would buy AU$1.00. This didn't happen over night but it started to slide and then the international buzzards started to buy up assets as the government changed the investment laws because of overseas pressure. It has clawed its way back to US$0.92 buying AU$1.00 and our government would like to drop it again because of international buzzard pressure. The bankers don't care about countries or people, just about buying power and using it.
