273 intake on 318

can i make it work? i have an old edelbrock db4 or somethin like that i want to put on my 318, the bolt holes are drilled different for the 273 but can i make it work?

Yep, need to hog out the bolt holes on the intake. Your now has smaller bolt holes and at the wrong angle. So try drilling them bigger and at the right angle...find a 318 intake.

Tricky part is allowing the bolt head to sit flush on the intake once seated. Need to flatten out the hole on the intake.

Its best to let a machine shop do it but $ spent isn't worth it. If it was a D-64 dual quad intake I would just let a pro do it.

Put it on ebag somebody will want it and put the money towards a manifold with the correct bolt hole angle, you don't want to have a miss match or leak. Done badly the manifold will be worthless.   :bigsmile:

Yeah, I wouldn't "mess" with the wrong intake.
