Single stage paint?  Now this is all hearsay, but charger man was tryin to use it, while i was using base/ clear(he's done cars before) he had all kinds of problems, dirt magnet, orange peel, fish eyes, & I had very few problems, mostly drips & runs cause I'm just learning, but painting outside(he's in his garage) I had very little dirt , surface was very smooth, a friend of his who does it for a living said base /clear is the way to go, it is much more forgiving, for some reason doesn't attract as much dirt & the clear will actually hide very small defects.
Oh yea, he also bought a top a the line gun(thought his probs were the old gun) & i'm using a 92 dollar cheapie, so hard to say , but being I'm new at this I would take their advise, base/ clear will do it better for ya! Rich.
