Please help the poor...
« on: September 28, 2004 - 03:24:11 PM »
I am living in our very own nation, living at well below the salary level needed for a HEMI engine. And as if that weren't bad enough I could be deprived of a HEMI engine for several months, possibly longer, as a result of insufficient funds.

But you can help!

For only $20,835 a month, about $694.50 a day (that's less than the cost of a large screen projection TV) you can help me remain economically viable during my time of need. This contribution by no means solves the problem as it barely covers the cost, but it's a start, and every little bit will help!

Although $700 may not seem like a lot of money to you, to a me it could mean the difference between spending the season cruising with a 440+6 or CRUISING WITH A HEMI. For you, seven hundred dollars is nothing more than a month's rent, half a mortgage payment, or a month of medical insurance, but to me, $700 will partially replace my poor engine.

Your commitment of less than $700 a day will enable me to cruise in style knowing I can blow the doors off any car around, pop wheelies at my leisure, pay for replacement axles, replace overrun clutch sprags, or just enjoy a weekend at Barrett-Jackson.

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT I'M HELPING?

Each month, you will receive a complete financial report on the engine you sponsor. Detailed information about pistons, rods, camshafts (I'd love a roller!), block preparation, and intake manifold choice will be mailed to your home. Plus upon signing up for this program, you will receive a photo of the engine lounging on an engine stand in all its glory prior to installation (for an oil-stained photo, please include an additional $150). Put the photo on your refrigerator to remind you of other peoples' suffering.

HOW WILL HE KNOW I'M HELPING?

Your HEMI engine will be told that he has a SPECIAL FRIEND who just wants to help in a time of need. Although the engine won't know your name, he will be able to make collect calls to your home via a special operator in case additional funds are needed for unforeseen expenses. YES, I WANT TO HELP!

I would like to sponsor a HEMI engine!

My preference is (check below):

[ ] 426 Hemi

[ ] 472 Hemi

[ ] 528 Hemi

[ ] New 300C Hemi

[ ] New Hemi Ram Tow Vehicle(Please call our 900 number to ask for the desired option list - $10 per minute)

Please charge the account listed below $694.50 per day for the duration of this economic downturn. Please send me a picture of the HEMI I have sponsored, along with list of components and my very own piston pin to wear proudly on my hat (include $80 for hat).

MoparBowHunter,
Ask yourself first "Who is more deserving?", Then fill in your credit card info below.  After I am well on my way, I'll share the secrets of my Hemi-building pyramid program. ;)    Grasshopper, when you can snatch the credit card from my hand, it will be time for you to go... ;D

LMAO! I am going to hijack this thread and let everyone know that for only 300.00 a day you can replace my nearly stock 440 engine and sponsor your own 500CI crate motor.  :)

While I have no money to contribute, I did just post an article in the "Engines" section on how to build a 451 stroker motor that should outperform the 440 and other similar combinations. In fact, you may have the parts sitting in your garage at this very moment!

Poor Participitation Alert!
I hate to bring this up, but I',m beginnig to think some of you just don't care. ???  How can you not be enthused about helping a fellow CC member in his quest for Hemi-spiritual enlightenment?  Participation in this activity Lifts Us All UP, reinforces our spirit, and makes us better (and quicker) people.  Please, donate early, donate often, and donate lots.  Remember, its the act, not the gift that counts.  Bless you all!  <microphone off - syntax error>  Da%#, here comes Sally Struthers, somebody stop her, throw a donut across her field of vision.  She always trying to horn in on this stuff.  What the mic. is on... Cut now..</microphone>
