Rims and Tires sizes for a 70 'Cuda
« on: April 20, 2010 - 11:13:48 AM »
I love my 'Cuda and everything about it except for one thing, my rims and tires.  I know you die hard Mopar guys are gonna hate me for even wanting to replace the original wheels with aftermarket ones, but my 'Cuda just doesn't have that bad ass appeal with those huge stonehenge looking wheels on it.  This is what I envision for my ride stance to look like:

Does anybody happen to know what size rims, tires, and spacers would be ideal for this look if I have drum brakes all around.  They are most likely the factory original in terms of size.
1970 'Cuda
2DR HT Lime Light Green
8 Cylinder 383 w/ Indy aluminum block heads pushing 465HP
3 Speed Automatic
2 Year complete frame off restoration, numbers matching, transmission and rear diff date code correct
2.5" Exhaust, white leather interior, new suspension
Condition: 1.1

Tires are one of the easiest & quickest modifications to make & easily reversed as well
Discount tire direct  http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do  has the Mustang or Torque thrust rims in 17" with zero offset , the rear would be 17x9.5" the front 17x 8"
Nitto has a 275 /40 Drag radial for the front  & a 245 / 45 Extreme series tire for the front with a matching tread pattern that would work , the entire pkg was under $1100 & free mounting ,balancing & shipping to your door
