Thanks for the complement Plum6pak! I chose the name from where I'm  from. The town of Los Gatos, Ca. which means "the cats" in spanish. I have some really good pictures of my car when I restored it in the mid eighties. Mom bought the car in 72'. It's a 71'. The pics are on regular film. I'm not a computer whiz like I notice some of you are. I really would like to share em with you all. Can somebody help me out? I had to dismantle it down as there were too many body problems from a guy I would love to hunt down. Now I need a shop and a mopar buddy here in the bay area to get me going again. Next year, I'll have my own garage to get restarted. I love this site, its on my favorites for good!!

That's news we always like to hear, Topcat.  Glad you enjoy the atmosphere around here.  If you wait around a while, I'm sure LB69 (Mike) could talk you through the steps to get some pics of your car posted here.  I'd do it, but I don't have any other website you could send them to. ::)

I could send them out to one of you whiz kids out there. Then you could post em for me. When I was in high school, we did'nt have computers. That's why I'm so behind on all this stuff!  ???

By the way, did anybody else see the show? It was awesome. They did a big thing on the swede savage cuda and drove it around and showed close up details on it. They also had a big personal interview with the guy(forgot his name now) who drove the challenger T/A. The biggest race was done right in my backyard, Laguna Seca, Monterey, Ca. I was only 10 yrs old then. The show was so hot, that I needed to change my shorts afterward! Also, I have a little surprise for all of you. I have been in close contact with Don. (I won't reveal his last name) He made a beutiful poster for Goodyear tires in 1970 of the Dan Gurney/ Swede Savage cuda. This was a promotion then called "Meet the Hot ones" I have this original poster myself, but it's in very bad shape after 35 years. Anyway, Don is going to remake the poster again. It was all my own idea last year, when I called him. We talked and now he's gonna do it again. Maybe somebody has one to show on this site. If you do know his last name, please don't post it. We don't need him to get pissed off and can the project cause evrybody started bugging him. He's in his eighties I beleive.

Topcat try this!

When you're posting a reply, cLick on "Additional options" go to the attach box and click "Browse"  Then go into your computer and find the photo you want to attach.  Click on it and then hit "open" and the file should appear next to the browse tab.  Check the requirements under the attach area to make sure your file is the correct format and size.  If you want to add more than one pic, click on where it says "more attachments" and additional boxes open up!  I believe 4 is the max. for a single post!!

If you are still having problems, send them to me and I'll post'em for ya!!

4cruzin, thanks for all that info. Right now, I don't own a digital camera to put pics in my computer. I am definitely getting one for christmas though. Santa promised me if I stay a good mopar boy. So for now, it would probably be better to send them to you and let you post them for me. Also I have a picture of the original Snake cuda that resides in the Petersen Hot Rod museum (awesome place!) that I visited this summer. E-mail me an address, and I'll have them sent this week-end. Thanks for the input.

Glad you all liked the show!
Many nice cars on that show!
One of my favorites, was Scott Waddel's AAR Cuda! Alpine white, 4 speed car.
Scott had just about finished the car, when I asked him to appear on that show.
I am sure Scott won't mind me teling this as we all laugh about it now, but! We asked him to do a burn out as much as he was comfortable doing. Since the car was really fresh, Scott said, how about if I just get on it pretty hard coming towards the camera?
We said sure, great! Well, a long story short, Scott blew both the mufflers off the car! Opps! He had thought that he had tightened them down! Obviously, NOT! lol!

Take care,
Chuck

Hey y'all

I have driven that car (before and after resto)!!  What an awesome ride!!  Scott and I have been good friends since around 1979.  I remember when he got the car.  I have to say that he is the one who introduced me to Mopars and he went with me to get my '71 Barracuda Convertible when I bought it in Jan 1983.  Boy, did we catch he!! when cruising Clearwater beach....All of our other friends were Ford and Chevy guys!!  I've got the tape he made me of that show somewhere....Just gotta find it.

Mr West,
I have a couple of questions about that particular show. I for one did enjoy it, However and I am not knocking or putting down any one of the cars used but the Alpine White car did not have its tail panel chrome and the tail panel was not blacked out and I dont remember if the blackout was right on the hood and fenders. Also the red one with the painted hood was that a real AAR? It was a really nice looking car. I also thought while interviewing Sam posey you should have had a T/A in the background and also had him drive one seeing how he drove the 77 Challenger in the 70 trans am season. Gary Savage was a nice part of the show also but sadly Ed Skanes has sold the 42 car to the Lipetz's who also own one of the Parnelli Jones/George Follmer Mustangs. If you would like to do a show in the futre about these cars I would like to offer up any help I can give. I am also working right now with Carlisle Productions along with Barry Washington of the Challenger T/A Registry to put on the largest gathering of AAR's and T/A's in one place at this years upcoming All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle. All 3 owners of the race cars have agreed to bring the cars and we are working on getting Dan Gurney and Sam Posey there as well. Thanx for the neat program you put together.
Dont forget to register your AAR at the AAR Registry only at www.transamcuda.com 1981 AAR's on file. Also info on 70 thru 74 E-Bodies. Ask me about yours!!
