That's right!! Big Black Viper's gonna be tearin' around those mountains!!!
I'll be the Manager of Project Controls (official title yet to be established) for a major engineering/construction firm. They just signed a BIG contract with my previous employer, and I think when my resume came across the desk, I essentially became a "shoe-in."
Yes - I can't wait to get out of Maryland (no offense to any Marylanders here...) But the price of this state is ludicrous... I mean I thought PA was expensive, but they don't hold a candle to Maryland's prices - especially when it comes to automotive "services," such as inspections, registration, and other sundry "fees." I'm also looking forward to a more-reasonable commute - somewhere around 20-30 minutes. I will soon recover 3 HOURS of every DAY back into my life. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself...
Quick example - I had requested my bank send the Viper title to MD to get transferred from PA. The bank wrote and said they received the title, but they weren't included as the lien holder, and thus submitted the change to "the state," and charged my savings account the $5 "add-a-lien" fee from "the state." (They never said which state.) I called the Maryland Vehicular Administration (MVA) and asked why I hadn't yet received the forms to fill out to authorize/pay for the transfer, when they had already returned the title to my bank. They told me they never received any title. I said, "yes you did, and you charged my bank $5 to add them as a lien." The guys says, "That can't be us - we charge $20 to add a lien..."
Just a bunch of crooks in this state... I'm surprised they haven't renamed it "South Illinois..."
