Okay, so it's not a MoPar, but this car is one Chevy that he said he never would mind to own.
It belonged to an older friend of his who did it up back in the mid/late-'80s. I received a phone call one night from him about a "new" car he purchased & that I should really stop by to see it (ended up going there that night). The thing is, he neglected to tell me what resided under the hood. Needless to say, I was shocked to see what was in there after seeing how subtle the exterior & interior were.
And the surprise under the hood (nicely built 350 with a Weiand 6-71 blower)
The sad part to the story is that he acquired it after his friend had passed away. He had tried to purchase the car several years ago from him, but his friend was still on the fence about whether or not he should sell it. Well, they came back from a trip & had a message explaining what had happened & that if he was still interested in the car, it's his for the same price as he was told several years ago.
His plan is to go through all the proper procedures prior to turning it over as it only had 33 miles on the restoration since it was built. The body has taken it's fair share of damage from stuff being piled on it over the past 20 years, but it still shines up nicely (his friend was a painter/welder by trade). The car has some history with his father-in-law as well because he used to exchange parts for paint jobs, so the running boards & a fender or two were actually purchased from him.

Yes, it's a 350 with a Weiand 6-71 blower on it.
I'm still curious to see how it sounds because his father-in-law was one of the first people to drive it upon completion & said it was an animal.

Thats a nice looking car, I agree with you I would not have expected a blown 350 under the hood.
