Parking brake cable
« on: April 02, 2010 - 11:34:20 AM »
Does someone have a photo of underside showing the way to hook up the parking brake cables. This is on a 72 Challenger and I have installed subframe connectors so I know I will have to drill for the cable from the foot petal. I just don't know where the threaded rod or the "s" hook go.
Thanks
Greg

If you're going US Cartool connectors, here's mine.

I put in stainless steel tubes on each side. This way the cables won't get chaffed as much. You'll need to drill a straight hole, then use a flame head shaped carbide burr grinding tool to make it a 45 degree hole. The tubes I bought at ACE hardware.

The reason why (Ask me how I know) is that trying to drill at a 45 degree angle will break off the drill bit.

Do you have any photos with the exhaust and drive shaft installed?

No

Haven't painted under side yet. The holes are up high as you can see in the close up pic so everything should clear easily.
