How to identify a power va manual steering column
« on: May 26, 2010 - 11:28:57 AM »
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to identify a manual vs. a power steering column for a 72 Cuda.  I've had one kicking around for years and wanted to find out which it was before I try to unload it.  Thanks.

A manual column is slightly longer than a power column.

I have a powr column out of the car at home and can measure toinght if that helps.

I beleive the splie size of the boxes differ slightly as well.

If you have a manual column, please let me know...I am looking for one!  :naughty:

I just measured the extra power column that I have...the main shaft is approximately 9.5 inches from the main body of the colum to the adapter.

The manual column in my car is aproximaly 12 in form the main body to the adapter.
