Looks like im going to do the same thing this week. :walkaway: :puke:

My passenger side is great, so that makes me happy. The Driver's side is another story. It looks as bad or worse than the link shown.

I tackled mine the last couple days. I welded 3/32 thick rods down the sides. and 2 rods down the back of the lid. I only spot welded every inch or so. I could not see needing to weld the whole darn thing. I was not taking any chance with warpage. Each spot or 2 i would grab the ol air gun and cool it down. Went perfect. Last night i cleaned it up, and laid some All Metal on both sides, too fill in and level. I will finish sanding, etc on sat. I will try and get some pictures on here. Thanks for all the ideas and input guys.   :2thumbs:

I added rod on my trunk lid 3/32 on front and sides, stock trunk lid and quarters. I had 3/8" on each side at least. Good old LA build quality!
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
