Master Cylinder 1970 Power Disc

hello,

i am needing some help in going to the part store to get the 'correct' master cylinder.  there are several choices, and i am not sure which one is the right one.  i am wanting the correct function, and correct look/style, but not necessarily the 1970 date coded correct part number.

The reservoir on the Rolik MC looks backwards too.  i checked out what the MC was for 1971 power disc MC, and got this:

rockauto.com usually has some of the right parts.   I get a lot of stuff there.

1=Autozone= is not correct.

2=Autozone is correct.

1=NAPA correct style but should not have piston hold downs in mounting surface

Rock Autos looks correct, note the bolt going up thru the bottom of the reservoir....piston retaining bolt.

This one also has rear piston retainer which you can see is drilled and taped so it can be seen on front face of mounting pad when mounted.

This is not correct.

You have 2 different types in the links, the one you are after is 2.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep.
Other one in links is 3 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep.
Both will work but if you have original brake lines and buy the shallower one you will have to "stretch" your lines to hook it up or buy new ones.
It has a 1 inch bore.
Whew, been watchin this thread but I'm a one finger keyboard pecker and don't have a lot of time to post and thought someone else would nail it....lots of knowledgeable people here.
If you order one from Bill you will get what you're after only it will not have the Chrysler casting number and date coding and vendor info stamped in it.
If you order from any of the parts stores you're most likely get the wrong one you have pictured because it will bolt up and work.
Correct cores are getting real hard to find, I know because I have been  restoring/rebuilding them for about 25 years and they used to be plentiful.

The units bought at NAPA etc. have a snout on the front. These are units generally found on B Bodies. They'll work but they aren't correct in appearance.

it took me 6 tries (4 at advance, and 2 at the local parts store, (where i finally got the right one.)) to get the correct appearance MC.

i just had to keep trying until i finally got the right one.
