68 dart race car
« on: March 13, 2011 - 01:14:20 PM »
Since I was off with dissability for quite some time, I am forced to let my car go. My dissability insurance changed over and has me waiting for 30 days before a check comes. Im tapped out. But get to go back to work on Friday, if the doc releases me. I am praying he will. But I need 3 weeks of income to get by without going down any further.  This is a good deal for some one

Round tube chassis 68 dart. 520 CI  aluminum mains with girdle, comp roller cam, eddy heads, edelbrock super vic intake, ross racing dominator carb, air shift 2 spd pwr glide with trans brake, dana 456 rear. Ladder bar car with front coil over. Removeable front end.  glass fenders, hood, bumpers and decklid, lexan windows, all but front. Magnafuel  fuel system, msd electronics, Runs on methanol. I got over 28k invested in this car as of now.  14k cash would take it. Drop me a pm, or e me at ALANLEMON  at msn . com   Im in Northern Alabama just off I-65 close to the tn border

Thanks 572.    I fired it up today and warmed everything up. Then transbraked it up to 5k in my shop and released the button. Just checking all out.  This car hits hard.  Lucky my shop has 30 ft to play in.  Almost hate to sell it.  You just cant build a bb stroked tube chassis car for this asking price.  I may just part it out to.

i cant believe nobody bought this car yet! to build the roller alone with paint would cost what al is asking turn key. where are all of the racers? to be honest you would probably make more money selling the motor and trans and the roller separate. have you tried racingjunk.com?

I agree with you Bryan 100% and if I could do it that car would be in my garage right now,I personally can't believe it still for sale.

Glad you're woking again Alan. Just take it easy and don't push yourself too hard. You gotta mend and pace yourself to stay in the game!! And I know you want to stay in the game!! That is one sweet ride. I have drooled at pictures of it you have previously posted. I like the paint scheme. Mostly I hope things turn around for you financially so you are able to keep the car. I have a '68 Barracuda and have half-heartedly listed it for sale on a few occasions when I was low on funds, but I never sold it and love to drive it. It just gets in the blood!! I am happy for you!  Keep the car and enjoy it!!  :clapping:

I found out today that my office is having me work around our shop for 2 weeks starting monday.  They want to observe me or something :roflsmiley:   I can out work them all even now. Hoping it warms up in Iowa. Been in the 70's and 80's at home
